The problem is that Israel was donated to Israel, but Israel does not at present appreciate the present.

Interests who want more are in control of the emotional health of the great state of Israel. Sanity has been subjugated to the base fears generated in order to manipulate policy. The extraordinary abuses directed toward Palestinians are not reported in most Western, or at least US, news. The rewriting and sanitizing of the Israeli public relations is at a level of selling wool sweaters to sheep.

If and when Palestine and its peoples and territories become the proper object of respect in the world at large, only then will most of the other so called Arab problems become manageable on a diplomatic level. Just as Israeli PR drives our fearful attitudes, our blind eye to Palestinian suffering drives extremist recruitment in the Islamic areas.

Their fear-mongers also manipulate the question, but fairness to Palestine on ours and Israelis parts would undercut demigods of all persuasions.

A little sanity on our part would help everyone.

Excellently written and excellently executed.
Confronting the UN and the world with major issues such as Holocaust Denial, Iran, Goldstone’s Report on Gaza and Israel’s perceived lack of will to make peace, Bibi smashed each of them with style and grace.

As always I support and second Bibi’s well-chosen words. I am a Jew though even if not, how can any rational individual not agree with this honest assessment of Israel’s sovereign right to exist on its terms. As to the Palestinians, even their Arab brethren refused them a home in 1948, foretelling the crisis that now exists. One might think they were prescient knowing a tribe of itinerant Bedouins would exist as a permanent thorn in the Hebrew hindquarters. Finally, as a civilization Israel has contributed the world community in science, the arts, in culture and by example of its courage. The Palestinians – 9th century? Bibi, you are too generous.
