As an Iranian I find it interesting that the even with the massive brain drain Iran has suffered, and continues to suffer, they still manage to accomplish things. I wonder what they would be able to achieve if they didn’t drive their brightest minds away to US, Canada, and Europe.

As to the threat Iran might pose to the world, I think Iranians will defend themselves in any way possible if threatened or, god forbid, attacked. We don’t have any deep animosity towards Israel, or any other country. Iran has been invaded by, let’s see, Macedonians, Arab, Mongols, Turks, Russians, and most recently Saddam. (When Arabs invaded Iran, they banned Persian as an official language for 300 years. When Saddam attacked Iran, they destroyed entire cities and used chemical weapons while being cheered by most of the Arab world.) So of course, we are always looking for ways to defend ourselves. Iran will continue to use anti-Israel rhetoric to promote its interests. However, that’s a political strategy. Iranians and Israelis are remarkably similar people, when you scratch the surface.

Israel should understand Iran’s predicament. After all, it is itself in a similar situation.
