Too often one sees those proffering support for Israel as being partisan based either on a basis of religion (us v. them) or on some sense of divine right to do whatever it takes. Take a step back from the partisan position and you begin to see a complex issue of statehood, nationhood, self-determination and historical divisions muddied by the constant factor of religion.

As for media neutrality – would it not help if Israel honured the court oder and allowed international journalists and observers in? The reason for the ban is a self-acknowledged desire to ensure the focus is primarily and overwhelmingly on the Israeli arguments and watching this web site and spokespeople misappropriate fact and language to present a single sided biased picture is ultimately not helpful to any quest for a peace in the region.
