Pat Tibbs - Thank you!! I thank all of you for your comments. Hizbullah is now threatening us with missiles on Tel Aviv if we do a ground incursion in the Gaza Strip! And it has been announced on TV here that the ground incursion is about to start! Please pray for us!

The Palestinian people only have themselves to blame. They elected Hamas and now they are reaping what they sowed. When Israel pulled out of the Gaza strip, which was a very good gesture, did Hamas and the palestinians respond in kind? No. They increased their rocket attacks on Israel.

As for the suffering of the palestinian people, I do have sympathy for them. If Hamas really cared about their people then they would spend the money they get on supplies needed to provide for the palestinians. Instead they spend them on explosives, rockets, missiles, other weapons.

Theres a simple reason for this and their ongoing attacks on Israel. If they made peace with Israel they would have no one to blame for their inneptitude when it comes to providing for the people.

I highly commend the consulate in its actions on this website and twitter. I just wish that it would do similar here in the UK where the media coverage, both historically and regarding the recent campaign in Gaza, has been horrendously biased and anti-israel. This is especially the case at the BBC which is well known for its anti-israeli bias.

More needs to be done to counteract this here in the UK and wider Europe.

Why do American’s support Israel? Most of the average people don’t even know this, but we do. Israel is essentially a big Welfare State that U.S. tax-payers support. Jews (that have ties to Israel) have seats in our house, senate, local Government, media, entertainment and are major political contributors. From the outside looking in, some might say this is a conflict of interest, foreign interest that is ! If the above interests were filled by Communists from Cuba, would that be a conflict of interest ? I think so and I rest my case ! I don’t harbor much against Israel, be strong, be sovereign, but most imprtantly, do it yourself, we have our own bills to pay !

I stand by the side of our chancelor, Ms. Merkel, who in quite undiplomatic words has put the blame on Hamas right after the beginning of Israel's air raid. Many people don't understand the Hamas' propaganda, as they didn't understand the Hisbollah propaganda 2 years ago. And they are so far away, they cannot understand what it means to live under the pressure of daily rocket fire, or suicide terrorists.
I hope Israel succeeds with this operation, unlike 2 years ago...

I've struggled with the conflict between Israel and Hamas but no longer. It's clear that when Israel walked away from Gaza 2-1/2 years ago the occupants of Gaza could have taken the opportunity to govern itself peaceably. Instead it elected Hamas to govern itself and we have this result.

Hamas' purpose is not to govern its own free territory but to destroy Israel. Any person with reasonable intelligence would realize that if you continue to poke the giant in the neighborhood in the eye with a stick it will eventually smack you down.

My only remaining concern for the Gaza civilians is that they had lived under a repressive regime and acceeded to its propaganda for so long that they are brainwashed. They may not yet realize that their actions have invited this result. I pity their children.

These and similar articles must be sent to major news agencies to expose their one sided reporting.
Why isn't professor Dershowitz being interview in CNN or BBC for example?

Continue the good work!
