This might be a silly question, but why does the Israeli government allow something like this to continue?

In the US of A, this would be considered an act of war, and you can bet we would consider everything save the nuclear bomb as an appropriate response.

I truely hope that Isrial can ignore Politics and
take control of the Gaza strip. Enough with these people. They will not come to any terms. The Arab problem does not need to be discussed, only delt with. I’m on your side.

Dear All, one may wish to edit/re-read it’s comment before all eyes could observe ones spelling mistakes.
And as for Tzipi, good oratory! having said it all you may want to concentrate on interior politics…but then the IL arena may be harder to solve than our Iran problem. courage!

Shalom, it’s a bit hard to consider the UN acting on one act of retaliation from the people of Gaza (the most populated area in the world), when Israel has defied over 71 UN resolutions, by far the most in the world. The west cannot intervene, it would be too much to do so after the 2nd World War.

The only way to stop these “terrorist” attacks is to grant the Palestinian people a bit of dignity. Stop sniping off their children, creating dozens of pointless checkpoints designed to slow down their flat economy, and start working towards a bilateral government and an Israel that is inclusive of Palestinians. An Israel that I could be proud of.

Do you know that between the last intifadha and 2004 4000 Palestinian civilians were killed, and only 1000 Israelies were ultimate victims of Terrorism.

We need to start being empathetic to a people that are suffering something close to what we went through in the holocaust.
