Ministry to launch Persian-language version website for Iranian Internet surfers to counterbalance Iranian regime’s anti-Semitic, anti-Israel propaganda

The Foreign Ministry will soon launch a Persian-language version of its website, which will give Iranian Internet surfers direct access to the official position of the State of Israel.

The site’s editor-in-chief will be Menache Amir, an advisor on Iranian affairs who managed Israel Radio broadcasts in Persian for years.

The Foreign Ministry approved an NIS 350,000 (USD 76,000) budget for the project.

The ministry hopes the website will counterbalance the Iranian regime’s anti-Semitic and anti-Israel propaganda which flood Iranian radio and TV stations and Web sites.

The decision to launch the website was inspired by the huge success of the ministry’s Arabic-version venture, al-Tawasul.

Iranian Internet users have found ways to bypass attempts by the Iranian authorities to block access to Israeli websites.
